A Tesla car owner complained to the company that as a result of a glitch in his car, the vehicle stopped in the middle of the road even though there was no red signal. However, there was a billboard with a stop sign.

Hyderabad: A Tesla car owner complained to the company that as a result of a glitch in his car, the vehicle stopped in the middle of the road even though there was no red signal. However, there was a billboard with a stop sign.
The incident was shared by the car owner via twitter by tagging Elon Musk. The tweet said "here is a fun edge case- My car kept slamming on the brakes in this area with no stop signal. After a few drives, I noticed the billboard with stop sign over it." The Elon Musk replied to tweet as 'Stop... In the Name of Love' with a YouTube link of the song 'The Supremes - Stop In The Name of Love'.
In 2020, Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, has said that the electric vehicle will function with neural network training computer termed as 'Dojo' to process the large amounts of video data that captures while driving the car.
Every time the new data is generated from the video, it will be analysed by the artificial neural network of the computer and then car will run with necessary changes according to the situations. The glitch is due to the option in customise navigate on autopilot of the car, which is still in beta stage. There were comments from users about the car glitch. One of them said that "So you can just run at a Tesla with a handwritten Stop sign on some cardboard? Seems like pure vision might be easy to trick."
